Native Range: Originally thought to hail from Europe, the wild type morph can be found almost worldwide.

Food: Protein Driven, enjoys 7th Legs Muscle Meal, Calci-Yum, Garden Graze and Fungal Feast. Carrots, sweet potato,fish flake (with algae), and much more.

Fun Facts:

Along with its commonly found wild counterparts, these isopods hold a special place in many keepers hearts and bioactive enclosures. This prolific and active species establishes easily under many different enviromental conditions with large frequent broods. Their soft bodies and self sustaining nature makes them a great enrichment time snack for the right critters. Be cautious though! These protien seekers are known to try to take a bite out of moulting invertabrates. This mutation is linked to the piebald gene.

Weather & Transit Conditions

  • We monitor weather conditions and reserve the right to delay shipment when extreme temperatures or other conditions could jeopardize animal welfare.

  • Once a package is in the carrier's possession, delivery times are outside our control and are not guaranteed.

Live Arrival

  • Isopods and springtails are packaged using methods designed to maintain appropriate moisture and temperature during transit.

  • Minor variations in color, size, activity level, and population counts may occur and are considered normal.

  • Customers should be available to receive shipments promptly and bring packages indoors upon delivery.

Customer Responsibilities

Issues Upon Arrival
